New couponers you need to think outside the box when your trying to provide for your family. Coupons are good at almost all stores not just grocery stores. Sometimes the unlikely ones give you better deals – specifically I’m talking about Walgreen’s and Rite Aid. You, if your lucky enough, can include CVS in with these 2 chains.
My Walgreen’s list for this week was:
3 Kotex products $2.99 x 3 = $8.97 - $3.00 mc = $5.97
4 Snickers bars 49 cents each – 2/50 cents off 2 mc = 4 for 96 cents
4 Skittles 49 cents each – BOGO (Buy one Get one free) mc = 4 for 98 cents
2 Glade Fabric & Air spray 2/$6 – 2 $1.00 mc = 2/$4
2 Planters Trail Mix 2/$3 - $1.00/2 wc - $1.50 mc = 2 for 50 cents
2 Photo copies – 58 cents
1 – 20 oz Diet Coke $1.59
1 container of Planters Cashews $3.59 - $2.00 off when you buy any Planters and Diet Coke = $1.59
2 – 30 sheet protectors (in clearance) $1.94 each (cheaper than buying the 50 count package)
1 School folder (in clearance) 50 cents
Total was $20.50 and I got a $5 RR (Kotex) and a $1 RR (Glade)
Rite Aid list and by far my favorite this week:
2 Coke 20 oz $1.39 = $2.78 – Rite aid Video coupon BOGO = 2/$1.39
1 King size Reece’s cups $1.49 PLUS used a mc for $1.00 when you Buy Coke and Reece’s king size = 49 cents
2 Maybelline Eyestudio eyeshadow $6.69 – 40% off - $2.68 = $4.01 - $2 mc = $2.01 each (and works with my very sensitive eyes)
2 Cottonelle 20 packs ($10.88 each) $21.76 – 35 cents Rite Aid video coupon
1 Rice Krispes $1.88 (husband doesn’t ask for much and he smoked a really bad brand of cigarettes this week to use a coupon I owed him big time)
Soft soap 99 cents – 35 cent mc = 64 cents (since I use the big refill bottle at home I can put this in my yard sale stash)
2 Van De Camps pork & beans $1.29 each – BOGO $1.29 – 2 \ 35 cent mc = 2 for 70 cents
Also used a $5 off $25 order Rite Aid coupon and a $19.99 rebate check from last month
Total out of pocket $7.64 BUT
I will get back a $2 SCR for the Cottonelle AND
$5 back for $20 Georgia Pacific rebate (the Cottonelle and the reason Greg lugged home 2 large packages of TP)
After all rebates out of pocket will be 64 cents .
And we had free bus passes to use so I saved $2 and Greg saved $1 with them.
